Twas the day of Christmas, the whole family assembled at my aunty’s house to have our Christmas feast. Sorry, I was just watching the Grinch. I had such a lovely day/Christmas. I got everything that I asked for or hinted for which is of course amazing. I also got a Canon 550D, which is an unbelievable camera. I’m literally smitten with it. All the photos below are taken with it. Mother woke me up at 8am this morning, I felt so sick and was not in the mood to open presents (very odd) and be all cheery, but I pulled myself together, did the present swapping as quickly as possible and went back to sleep. I got up at 11am, went over to my aunty’s and you know the drill, ate like an elephant.
Indie had more fun making my room a mess and un-wrapping her presents more than the actual presents. Such a cutie. She got two teddies and some puppy treats. She’s been scratching at her presents all week while they were under the tree, I swear she was a human in a past life. Perfume is by far one of my favourite things and I adore both of these perfumes, although I don’t really like the bottle of the Guess perfume but hey it’s lovely and I’m a very lucky girl. From my Grandparents I got money, $400, and I can’t wait to spend it on more perfume. hehehehe.
I actually made that chocolate tree thing, i don’t really know what to call it but it’s it adorable! I got the idea off some lady who made one using Minties, but I hate Minties so I used Lindt chocolates instead. I was so proud of myself and everyone was like omg, how did you do that? So, I was like watch your step kids because I’m about to drop some knowledge. I just used a foam ball, and used toothpicks to secure the chocolates in place. Just call me Martha Stewart. For all you Americans out there you’re probably looking at these pictures thinking, what kind of christmas is this? It’s way to hot in Australia to be eating a full roast meal, although that would be amazing. I know with my family and I think about of others, we eat alot of seafood, cold salads, cold/hot meats and a whole lot of desserts. They aren’t even half desserts we had, it was like heaven. Oh and also, I really don’t like Apricot balls (rum balls, atw) but they looked so perfect. Also, how beautiful is that lobster?
after eating all these glorious food, I was in desperate need for a fat nap so everyone went home and slept until the second session began. I really just snuggled with Indie and watched The Grinch (also watching it right now, hehe) and took photos of myself, holla. I went back to my aunty’s at 5pm, for a swim and a few games of pool volley ball, and too also watch the kids shoot each other with paintballs. I also, believe it or not lost every bon bon, did not win once out of 6, I just wasn’t on my A-game okay…
I’m now home, after sitting on the veranda, drinking Malibu, eating too many rum balls while looking at my aunty’s christmas lights. It was overall one of the best Christmas’ I think I’ve ever had. For now, I think I’m going to download my favourite movie, ever - Romancing The Stone, judge away. Merry Christmas to all of my lovely followers, to everyone who actually read this post, I hope you all had an amazing day, ate too much food and drank too much. xoxoxo
